Volunteering with The Arts Society provides members with opportunities to learn new skills, make friends with people with similar interests and feel the satisfaction of supporting the arts within their local community.

Volunteering projects cover a broad range of hands-on activities from cataloguing libraries to repairing textiles. Volunteers generously give their time through the work they undertake. And at the same time, they receive a great deal through the rewarding experience, the sense of achievement and the friendships that blossom along the way.

Details of Volunteering projects in the East Midlands Area and contact details of the Area Volunteer Representatives are available through the links at the side of the page.

Many East Midlands Societies also support a programme of volunteering and would welcome members who would like to become involved.

Contact information for individual societies are available on the ‘Societies’ page.
